Perusing the list of politically correct words has thrown me into a quandary on when to use them. I want to be correct writing my posts, as I do not want to offend any race, color, creed, and religious belief, criminal, crazy person, handicapped individual, or fat person. With that in mind, let us compare the same paragraph using politically incorrect words and then politically correct.
Politically Incorrect
A fat person met a shoplifter at the mall. They passed a disabled person in a wheelchair, a group of insane people, a dirty old man, and three ugly women. Entering the food court a janitor was cleaning up vomit off the floor. They ordered hamburgers and sat down next to a table filled with rednecks. Leaving the mall, they encountered a bum, panhandler, and two prostitutes.
Politically Correct
The enlarged physical condition caused by a complete natural genetically induced hormone imbalance person met the cost-of living specialist at the mall. They passed a handi-capable person in a wheelchair; a group of mental explores, a sexually focused chronologically gifted individual, and three aesthetically challenged women. Entering the food court a sanitation engineer was cleaning up unplanned reexamination of recent food choices off the floor. They ordered seared mutilated animal flesh and sat down next to a table filled with the rustically inclined. Leaving the mall, they encountered an outdoor urban dweller, an unaffiliated applicant for private sector funding, and two sex care providers.
A Concise Analysis
Political correctness has gone so far that original words and phrases will become obsolete. People want words and phrases to be direct, concise, and easy to understand.
