A Kiss From One Bumper To Another

Walking to my car, I noticed a young mother strapping her children into their car seats, and followed her onto the main road. She was thirty feet ahead as they approached a light that was turning  yellow to red. Twenty feet from the light, she turned toward the backseat and began scolding her children. Turning back, she saw a SUV stopped at the light, slammed on her brakes, and rolled into the SUV kissing its back bumper.

The driver of the SUV opened his door, catapulted out, and headed toward her Fiesta. The mother checked her children and exited her car. Mr. SUV was six feet tall, weighted around two twenty, and was ready for action. There was no way someone was going to damage his vehicle and escape his wrath. Mrs. Mom weight around one twelve and was five feet four at best. SUV stopped three inches from her, pointed his finger in her face, and began a tirade on her driving ability. Mrs. Mom looked up at him, never gave ground, nor flinched, and when he took a breath apologized. This took some of the starch out of SUV, then he turned, lay on the ground, and began inspecting the under carriage of his vehicle. Standing up, he realized there was no damage, the light turned green, pointing his finger again at the mom got back in his truck, and sped off. The mom returned to her car, rechecked her children, and drove off.

I moved along and wondered how people could be so upset over a kiss from one bumper to another.
